Top Republican Endorses Dan Bongino For USSS Director

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan endorsed Dan Bongino, a former Secret Service agent and conservative media personality, as the next leader of the Federal Protective Service. Jordan praised Bongino’s alignment with the changes needed to refocus the agency’s mission. Trump is reportedly considering Bongino and Sean Curran for the role, following two failed assassination attempts on the president. Bongino has been highly critical of the Secret Service, particularly after its failures during the attempts on Trump’s life. Bongino previously revealed that some Republicans, including Kellyanne Conway, worked against Trump’s campaign, adding fuel to his ongoing political critiques. Trump’s staffing decisions have been key in shaping his administration’s future.
