In the minutes before a tragic crash near Cottman Avenue, Philadelphia, air traffic controllers communicated with the plane, hearing a chilling moan from the cockpit, which remains unexplained. Following a brief pause, an air traffic controller declared, “We have a lost aircraft.” Soon after, the plane crashed, killing all six people on board, including a young pediatric patient returning to Mexico after life-saving treatment in the U.S. The crash, which caused widespread destruction and a massive fire, also killed one person on the ground and injured 19 others. Authorities are investigating the cause. The plane was operated by Jet Rescue Air Ambulance and was en route to Tijuana, with a stop in Missouri.
