President Donald Trump wasted no time in his second term, issuing a Friday memorandum banning former CIA Director John Brennan, former National Security Advisor John Bolton, and former DNI James Clapper from U.S. secure federal buildings. These men were key figures in promoting the 2020 “Russian disinformation” hoax about Hunter Biden’s laptop. The January 29 memo expanded Trump’s initial 2017 order withdrawing security clearances from 50 individuals. It instructs national security agencies to deny unescorted access to secure U.S. facilities for these former intelligence officials, as they no longer have a legitimate need or clearance. The memo emphasizes that it doesn’t grant any enforceable legal rights against the U.S. government or its agencies.
