These larvae feed on both evergreen and deciduous trees. They build protective bags from leaves and twigs that hang from branches, hiding them as they grow.<\/p>\n

Life Cycle<\/strong><\/p>\n

Understanding their life cycle helps in controlling them. Adult female moths lay eggs in these bags. In late spring or early summer, the eggs hatch into larvae, which then build and expand their bags as they feed. By late summer or fall, they pupate inside the bags and emerge as moths. Females stay on the tree, while males fly off to mate.<\/p>\n
