Marjorie Taylor Greene Criticizes Trump\u2019s Tariffs and Immigration Approach<\/strong><\/p>\n

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), a vocal figure in the Republican Party, has publicly criticized former President Donald Trump over his tariff and immigration policies, signaling a shift in her previously unwavering support.<\/p>\n

In a recent interview with comedian Tim Dillon, Greene accused Trump of prioritizing \u201ccrypto donors\u201d over the working-class Americans who propelled him to power. She argued that while many manufacturers still support Trump\u2019s broader economic goals, ongoing tariffs have led to persistent supply chain issues. \u201cHas the stress come off? No, that has not happened yet,\u201d Greene said, emphasizing the continued pressure on American businesses.<\/p>\n

Greene also expressed concern that Trump has distanced himself from the base that once defined his political identity. \u201cThe focus should be the people that showed up at the rallies,\u201d she said. \u201cThose are the ones that voted for not only the president, but every single Republican that gave us power.\u201d<\/p>\n

In a surprising turn, Greene also softened her stance on immigration. While traditionally a hardliner on the issue, she acknowledged the need for a more practical solution to labor shortages. \u201cIt needs to be a smarter plan than just rounding up every single person and deporting them,\u201d she said, suggesting that some undocumented workers should be allowed to remain in specific industries.<\/p>\n
