Swallow was diagnosed at 28, and her treatment led to early menopause before she could have children. She now shares her experience to help others recognize potential symptoms early.<\/p>\n

Swallow ignored several warning signs in herself, assuming stress was the cause and fearing she was \u201cwasting everyone\u2019s time\u201d by seeing a doctor. She noticed a lump on the side of her neck but dismissed it. The symptoms she highlights are itchy legs, night sweats, and constant fatigue.<\/p>\n

\u201cI would itch until I broke the skin, keeping me up all night. Doctors suggested stress, allergies, or urticaria, but nothing worked,\u201d she recalled. \u201cI was losing weight, experiencing night sweats, and constantly exhausted, but I thought I was just overworked.\u201d<\/p>\n

The experience affected her mental health as well. Swallow describes early menopause as \u201cbeing hit by a bus\u201d and shares how challenging it was to cope at 28 without peers who understood what she was going through.<\/p>\n
