Nicole Lucas Hall from Arkansas embraces this truth as she raises her two children, Asher and Winry. Nicole has made it her mission to show that perfection lies in imperfection\u2014especially through her daughter Winry, who was born with a rare condition called congenital melanocytic nevi (CMN), a birthmark covering part of her face.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"562\" data-end=\"910\">When Winry arrived in February 2021, Nicole was initially shocked. Her pregnancy had been healthy, and she hadn\u2019t expected anything unusual. At first, she thought the dark patch on her daughter\u2019s head was a bruise, but doctors reassured her that Winry was healthy. Once the initial fear subsided, Nicole focused on loving and protecting her baby.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"912\" data-end=\"1305\">CMN can appear as light or dark patches and vary greatly in size. While it slightly increases the risk of skin cancer, it does not define a child\u2019s beauty or worth. Nicole and her husband now use their platform to promote awareness and representation for children with visible differences. Through social media, Nicole shares Winry\u2019s story to inspire kindness, understanding, and acceptance.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1307\" data-end=\"1612\">Nicole emphasizes that many people have never seen a birthmark like Winry\u2019s. By being open, she teaches others\u2014and her own children\u2014that differences are natural and nothing to fear. With sunscreen, hats, and regular checkups, Winry stays safe, while her joyful, talkative personality continues to shine.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1614\" data-end=\"1763\">Nicole hopes her daughter grows up knowing she is beautiful just as she is\u2014a powerful reminder that our differences are what make us truly special.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Every person is born unique, and our differences make us beautiful.
