Mom just needs some help.<\/em><br data-start=\"978\" data-end=\"981\" \/><em data-start=\"981\" data-end=\"995\">Is she okay?<\/em><br data-start=\"995\" data-end=\"998\" \/><em data-start=\"998\" data-end=\"1032\">She\u2019s fine. Groceries are heavy.<\/em><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1036\" data-end=\"1163\">The nurse saw my blood pressure spike and came to my side. \u201cTalk to me, honey.\u201d<br data-start=\"1115\" data-end=\"1118\" \/>\u201cMy husband left,\u201d I said. \u201cFor groceries.\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1165\" data-end=\"1379\">My dad arrived twenty minutes later\u2014smelling like fried chicken and comfort. He took Dave\u2019s place beside me while Nurse Gloria hit \u201crecord.\u201d Together, they helped me bring our daughter, Gabrielle, into the world.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1381\" data-end=\"1506\">When they placed her on my chest, joy and grief collided. Dad whispered, \u201cHe\u2019ll regret this.
