According to police, the boy suffered significant trauma to his head, chest, and legs. The injuries were discovered after his grandmother became concerned about his condition and contacted authorities. Medical examinations determined that the child\u2019s wounds were inconsistent with accidental causes, prompting an immediate investigation.<\/p>\n
Initially, the stepfather claimed the boy\u2019s 5-year-old brother was responsible for the injuries, saying the siblings had been playing roughly.
