The two First Ladies eventually met at former President Jimmy Carter’s state funeral in January, with Jill confirming that Melania thanked her during pleasantries.
In December 2024, Melania appeared on “Fox & Friends,” commenting that the transition to the White House would be smoother the second time around. She also dismissed questions about posing for magazine covers, saying that there were more important things to do than appear on covers. This remark was interpreted by some as a subtle dig at Jill Biden, who had appeared on Vogue’s cover in August.
