11 injured in shooting in quiet North Carolina city

A tragic shooting at a house party in Mountain View, North Carolina, near Hickory, left one person dead and 11 others injured early Sunday morning, June 1.

The violence broke out during a pool party attended by about 100 people, including juveniles. The shooting appeared random and occurred mostly outside the home, with a crime scene spanning several areas.

Authorities confirmed 12 victims total: one deceased, one in critical condition, and several hospitalized. The types of weapons used are unknown, and no suspects or arrests have been announced.
