DOJ Investigating Kilmar Garcia’s 2022 Traffic Stop In Tennessee

The Department of Justice is investigating a 2022 traffic stop in Tennessee involving Kilmar Abrego Garcia,

 

a Salvadoran national previously deported by the Trump administration. Though suspected of human trafficking, Abrego Garcia was released after F B I agents reportedly advised local police not to detain him. Bodycam footage shows he was traveling with eight others, raising suspicions. The car’s owner later admitted to hiring him to move undocumented migrants. The case has sparked political controversy, with Democrats defending Garcia and Republicans highlighting it as a failure of Biden-era immigration enforcement.
