Jeanine Pirro Announces First Criminal Sentences As DC Prosecutor

Former Fox News anchor Jeanine Pirro began her interim role as U.S. attorney for the District of Columbia by announcing the sentencing of two men involved in a drive-by shooting near a D.C. elementary school.

Rasheed Mullins, 27, received 90 months, and Josiah Warfield, 24, got 100 months in federal prison, followed by five years of supervised release. Both had pleaded guilty to assault with intent to murder.

Pirro’s office also announced the indictment of Te’Vaughn Brown, 20, for felony assault.

Her appointment follows Senator Thom Tillis blocking the previous nominee over concerns tied to January 6.

Fox News wished Pirro well, while Alina Habba is being considered as her replacement on The Five.
