AOC’s Constituents Complain About Absent ‘Rock Star’ Who’s ‘Done Nothing’

Frustration is rising in Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s district, as residents in Queens and the Bronx accuse her of neglecting local concerns in favor of national attention.

Constituents complain of poor service from her taxpayer-funded offices, limited accessibility, and rare in-person town halls.

Critics say she’s more focused on national issues and media appearances than on problems like jobs and public safety at home.

At a recent town hall, she answered just six questions before leaving early.

Some residents mocked her for prioritizing national causes and jet-setting while ignoring crises like Hurricane Ida’s aftermath.

Others accuse her of caring only when an issue boosts her profile, calling her “disconnected” and comparing her to an “absentee landlord.”
