Trump Approval Rating On Par With Obama During Same Period: Polling

New polls show that former President Donald Trump’s approval rating is matching Barack Obama’s at the start of his second term, with several surveys indicating Trump is more popular now than at the end of his presidency.

His approval hovers around 48–53%, with support for his policies reaching up to 70%, especially on issues like immigration and trade.

Pollsters note that while Trump’s name triggers partisan responses, his policies are broadly popular, and support is rising among young voters, independents, and even some Democrats. Analysts say he’s in a strong position to grow his support heading into the next election.
