WH Reveals ‘Bad Hombre’ Migrants They Are Deporting To South Sudan

The White House is set to release details on violent migrants deported to South Sudan under President Trump, including convicted murderers and a pedophile. A federal court, led by Judge Brian E. Murphy, ruled that U.S. officials must retain custody of deported individuals in case their removals are later ruled illegal. Among those deported is Thongxay Nilakout, a Burmese national convicted of the 1994 murder of a German tourist in California.

Despite a court order limiting deportations to third-party countries, attorneys claim migrants from countries like Burma, Vietnam, and Cuba were sent to South Sudan. Legal teams say some were misinformed or not properly briefed. The court has called for further hearings to evaluate whether these deportations violated federal orders. Meanwhile, the Supreme Court ruled 8–1 to lift a block on Trump’s plan to end Biden-era Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for 300,000 Venezuelans, enabling immediate deportation efforts. The only dissent came from Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson.
