President Trump’s Golf Outing Stuns Internet After People Realize Who He’s Playing Against

Tiger Woods is preparing for his highly anticipated return to the PGA Tour and recently played a round of golf with former President Donald Trump at Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach. The outing took place just days before Woods is set to compete at Torrey Pines, where he’s had significant success, including his famous 2008 U.S. Open win. This marks Woods’ first official PGA Tour event since The Open, and he’s expected to play in the Genesis Invitational, which was moved to Torrey Pines from Los Angeles due to the Palisades fire. Meanwhile, Trump has a full schedule, including plans to attend the Super Bowl in New Orleans.

In addition to his golf return, Woods’ name has come up in ongoing negotiations between the PGA Tour and Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund. Though the Tour did not confirm his participation, flight data indicated Woods may have been in Washington, D.C., during recent meetings with Trump and PGA officials. The Tour later thanked Trump for helping advance the deal toward reunifying men’s professional golf. Woods also shared somber personal news—the death of his mother, Kultida Woods, at age 80. In an emotional tribute, he praised her as his greatest supporter. Trump publicly extended his condolences, calling Kultida a powerful influence on Woods and expressing support for the family. Woods and Trump share a longstanding friendship; Trump previously awarded Woods the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2019 for his contributions to golf.
