GOP Lawmaker Urges Bondi To Probe Socialist NYC Mayoral Candidate

Rep. Andy Ogles (R-TN) has asked Attorney General Pam Bondi to begin denaturalization proceedings against Zohran Mamdani, New York City’s Democratic mayoral nominee, alleging Mamdani may have lied during his U.S. citizenship process. Ogles cites Mamdani’s past pro-Palestinian rap lyrics and alleged support for individuals convicted of terrorism-related offenses as potentially disqualifying.

Mamdani recently shocked the political world by defeating former Governor Andrew Cuomo in the Democratic primary on a progressive platform. Meanwhile, Massachusetts State Rep. Christopher Flanagan (D) was arrested and charged with wire fraud and falsifying records. Federal prosecutors allege he stole $36,000 from the Cape Cod Home Builders Association, where he served as executive director, to cover personal debts and campaign expenses. Flanagan pleaded not guilty and was released. Authorities condemned the breach of public trust, citing elaborate efforts to conceal the fraud, including creating fake personas. Officials emphasized that no one is above the law, especially those in public office.
