JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon sparked controversy by criticizing Democrats as “idiots” with “little brains” who don’t understand the real world, during remarks in Dublin. While acknowledging friendships with Democrats, he claimed their policies frequently fail and decried excessive regulation, calling it “Blue Tape” rather than “Red Tape.”

Dimon, a longtime Democrat himself, has recently expressed growing frustration with the party’s direction, particularly criticizing California’s overregulation and inefficiency. Fox Business commentators likened his remarks to Winston Churchill’s quote about the ideological shifts from youth to adulthood.

Meanwhile, the Democratic Party appears to be shifting further left. Zohran Mamdani, a democratic socialist from Queens, recently won New York City’s Democratic mayoral primary, prompting the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) to consider challenging moderate incumbents such as House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries and Reps. Torres, Nadler, Goldman, and Clarke.

DSA leaders argue Jeffries is out of touch with the progressive base. In response, his advisor reaffirmed Jeffries’ commitment to fighting MAGA Republicans and reclaiming the House.
