What began as a desperate search for a missing child has ended in tragedy and a criminal investigation. The case of 6-year-old Jayden Spicer, who was reported missing on August 6, 2025, took a heartbreaking turn when authorities discovered his body nearly a week later.

On Tuesday, August 12, Kentucky State Police located Jayden’s remains buried in a shallow grave off Canoe Road — a remote, wooded area about 19 miles from his home on Panbowl Branch Road. The young boy had last been seen on the night of August 6, reportedly wearing blue Sonic the Hedgehog pajamas. His mother, 33-year-old Felicia Gross, told investigators he had vanished overnight.

Initially treated as a missing-person case, the investigation quickly escalated into a criminal matter following the grim discovery. Authorities have not yet released details about how Jayden died, but the case has led to at least one arrest.

The community now mourns the loss of a young life, as law enforcement continues to search for answers in this deeply disturbing case.
