Award-winning actor Michael J. Fox may be best known for his iconic roles, but to him, fatherhood is the role that matters most. Married to actress Tracy Pollan for over 30 years, the couple shares four children—though Fox jokes it sometimes feels like five.
In an interview with Reader’s Digest, Fox reflected on the importance of being present as a parent. “Always be available to your kids,” he advised. “If you say, ‘Give me five minutes,’ it’ll turn into 15 or 20. By then, the shine will have worn off whatever they wanted to share.”
Diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 1991, Fox has often praised his children for their empathy and strength. His Instagram posts highlight their close bond, capturing quiet moments of connection and love.
On Mother’s Day 2022, Fox penned a heartfelt tribute to Pollan: “Our children are beautiful, sensitive, intelligent, empathetic, independent, compassionate, adventurous, lovely people. That’s your fault.”
Despite his fame and health challenges, Fox’s greatest pride lies not in awards or accolades, but in the family he’s helped raise—and the love that keeps them together.
