New Details Emerge in Investigation of Robin Westman, Suspect in Deadly Annunciation Catholic Church Shooting

Newly filed warrants have revealed key details about the events inside Annunciation Catholic Church during a shooting. Records indicate that Robin Westman had been living in Richfield before a recent breakup, after which they stayed with an older friend in St. Louis Park. Detectives believe Westman arrived at the church in a van registered to their father, whose Minneapolis home was later searched by police. Seized items included a tactical vest, two computer drives, and documents that may be important to the investigation.

The attack occurred during morning Mass, with parishioners scrambling for cover as the assailant opened fire inside the sanctuary. Two children were killed, and 18 others were injured. Westman died at the scene from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The community has been left deeply affected as authorities continue to investigate the events leading to the attack.

Investigators have yet to interview Westman’s mother, Mary Grace Westman, who, through her attorney, expressed distress over the incident and denied any involvement. Authorities have recovered a “manifesto” that suggests underlying personal conflicts and challenges in the weeks leading up to the shooting.

The investigation has also expanded to Florida, where the FBI visited a condominium linked to Mary Westman. Local officials confirmed conducting a welfare check at that address just a day before the attack. Federal agents are still working to locate Mary Westman for further questioning.

In the aftermath, the families of the two children killed are focusing on remembrance and change. Fletcher’s father described his son as an outdoors enthusiast who loved cooking and sports. “We will never be able to hold him again,” he said, urging people to remember Fletcher for who he was. Meanwhile, Harper’s parents spoke about their daughter’s bright personality and the impact she had on everyone around her. They are calling for action to address gun violence and mental health issues to prevent further tragedies.
