January 6 tapes finally released

Speaker Mike Johnson has released all the January 6th surveillance tapes, making them publicly available online in the CHA Subcommittee Reading Room.

This move marks a shift toward greater transparency after efforts stalled under former Speaker Kevin McCarthy.

The release follows public demand for more access to footage of the Capitol breach, with some footage showing protesters peacefully walking through Congress.
