The U.S. is reeling from its worst aviation disaster in decades, which claimed 67 lives, including the Livingston family. Donna, Peter, and their daughters, Everly (14) and Alydia (11), were on American Airlines Flight 5342 when it collided with a military helicopter, crashing into the Potomac River. The sisters, known as the “Ice Skating Sisters,” were talented figure skaters with the Washington Figure Skating Club. Everly had dreamed of joining Team USA and was quickly becoming a rising star in the sport. Just days before the crash, the sisters posted a joyful photo from a skating championship. The tragedy has deeply impacted the figure skating community, with many athletes, coaches, and families lost in the crash. Tributes have poured in, and a memorial has been set up at the Ashburn Ice House, reflecting the deep sorrow felt by all who knew them.
