President Donald Trump responded confidently to the rejections from Egypt and Jordan regarding resettling Palestinian refugees from Gaza. Egypt’s Foreign Ministry expressed strong support for Palestinians’ rights and rejected any displacement proposals, citing public opposition to resettling refugees. Jordan’s Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi similarly stated that the solution lies on Palestinian soil. Trump, however, remained defiant, insisting that both leaders would eventually accept refugees due to the U.S.’s assistance to their countries. He also reiterated his earlier comments on helping relocate refugees to safer, better areas. Despite these rejections, Trump remained optimistic, expressing that both Egyptian President El-Sisi and Jordan’s King Abdullah II would cooperate eventually. Critics warn that such moves could undermine the two-state solution.
