Former Fox News contributor Geraldo Rivera, 80, expressed interest in a permanent role at CNN, saying he would be a “good fit” for the network. Although he has made several appearances on CNN since leaving Fox News in June, Rivera clarified that no official talks have taken place regarding his potential employment. Rivera, who spent 22 years at Fox, previously described his relationship with the network as “toxic,” citing conflicts with coworkers and its moral crisis after the 2020 election. He praised Fox Corp. CEO Rupert Murdoch but also reflected on his own departure, noting a strained relationship with Greg Gutfeld. Rivera, who left Fox after a salary cut and an on-air dispute with Gutfeld, stated he would not accept a demotion, which led to his exit. Despite differences, he acknowledged the importance of serving conservative audiences, even if he disagrees with many of their views.
