First-term GOP Rep. Brandon Gill of Texas has called for Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) to be deported to Somalia. His tweet, shared Tuesday on X, criticized Omar for coaching Somali immigrants, possibly undocumented, on how to evade federal immigration authorities. The video, posted by conservative influencer Greg Price, shows Omar advising Somalis on how to avoid answering questions from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Gill’s spokesperson questioned Omar’s loyalty to America, highlighting her conduct as problematic. Some users supported Gill, claiming Omar’s actions could be criminal and urging for investigation. Omar’s comments come as President Trump’s administration focuses on deportations, beginning with criminal illegal migrants, a pledge central to his 2016 campaign.
