She also defended Trump’s efforts to hire skilled FAA staff through merit-based hiring. Leavitt further rebuffed criticisms of Trump’s spending cuts, pointing to Democratic Presidents like Clinton, Obama, and Biden who had also called for similar fiscal measures.
