The Department of Justice released surveillance footage from the night Epstein died in his Manhattan jail cell in 2019. Officials stated the video showed no one entering or exiting the cell area between 10:40 p.m. and 6:30 a.m. However, observers quickly noticed a suspicious one-minute gap in the footage—from 11:58:59 p.m. to 11:59:59 p.m.—sparking renewed skepticism.
Despite federal claims that no incriminating client list or blackmail evidence was discovered, the missing video time has fueled public distrust.
