AG Bondi Responds to Epstein Fallout At Trump Cabinet Meeting

President Donald Trump held his sixth Cabinet meeting of the year, focusing on several pressing issues, including the catastrophic flooding in Texas and international conflicts. During the session, Trump fielded questions about the “Big Beautiful Bill,” the Russia-Ukraine war, recent U.S. strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities, and disaster response efforts in Texas.

The meeting took a controversial turn when a reporter questioned Attorney General Pam Bondi about the ongoing speculation surrounding Jeffrey Epstein’s death. Bondi addressed a viral comment she made on Fox News, clarifying that her reference to a “client list” was metaphorical and meant to highlight unresolved files like those of JFK and MLK. She reiterated that existing evidence pointed to suicide, though admitted the jailhouse video footage was not fully conclusive.

The Department of Justice released surveillance footage from the night Epstein died in his Manhattan jail cell in 2019. Officials stated the video showed no one entering or exiting the cell area between 10:40 p.m. and 6:30 a.m. However, observers quickly noticed a suspicious one-minute gap in the footage—from 11:58:59 p.m. to 11:59:59 p.m.—sparking renewed skepticism.

Despite federal claims that no incriminating client list or blackmail evidence was discovered, the missing video time has fueled public distrust. The DOJ and FBI released a joint statement reiterating that Epstein’s death was a suicide and that no credible evidence implicated high-profile individuals.

The Metropolitan Correctional Center, where Epstein was held, has since been closed due to serious operational failures. The time gap and history of mismanagement continue to raise questions about what really happened that night.
