Alina Habba Considered To Replace Pirro On ‘The Five’: Report

Judge Jeanine Pirro is leaving Fox News to serve as interim U.S. Attorney for Washington, D.C., following a presidential appointment. Her departure from “The Five” opens a key spot at the network. A White House source revealed that Alina Habba, former Trump attorney and current U.S. Attorney for New Jersey (interim), is being considered as Pirro’s replacement. While Fox News hasn’t confirmed any permanent decision, Habba’s legal experience and assertive style reportedly make her a strong contender to fill Pirro’s role.

Fox News said rotating personalities will fill the seat until a permanent co-host is chosen. Pirro, a 14-year Fox News veteran, was praised by the network for her contributions.

Pirro’s appointment follows the blocked confirmation of previous nominee Ed Martin, due to concerns raised by Republican Sen. Thom Tillis over Martin’s views on January 6 prosecutions. Tillis argued that Martin showed too much leniency toward Capitol rioters, making him unsuitable for the D.C. district role.
