Border Czar Says U.S. Military Stepping Up Migrant Deportation Support

Tom Homan, President Trump’s “border czar,” discussed the administration’s mass deportation plans on Fox News, revealing increased military support for the effort. The Pentagon is providing air transportation, helping Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents focus on apprehending criminal aliens and easing the Department of Homeland Security’s strained budget. Homan emphasized the urgency of this support, saying the Department of Defense’s assistance is “absolutely necessary.” He also warned Chicago’s mayor and Illinois Governor about interfering with deportations, vowing to start operations in Chicago on January 21. Homan promised nationwide raids, with ICE focusing on criminal aliens, and criticized the Biden administration for limiting ICE’s actions over the past four years.
