A California sheriff is criticizing Vice President Kamala Harris for using his image in a campaign ad without permission.
Tulare County Sheriff Mike Boudreaux, now president of the California State Sheriffs’ Association, said he does not endorse Harris and called her 2013 visit “ smoke and mirrors,” claiming she took credit for local efforts. The footage was from when Harris was state attorney general. Boudreaux accused her of defunding anti-crime task forces and called the ad misleading. The criticism comes amid scrutiny of Harris’s border policy as she campaigns to succeed President Biden.
