Just hours before Charlie Kirk was fatally shot, his wife Erika posted a haunting Bible verse on X: “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” The 31-year-old conservative activist and Turning Point USA co-founder was assassinated while speaking at a Utah university event, an attack captured on video that shocked the nation.

President Donald Trump, a close ally of Kirk, blamed the “radical left” for fostering an environment that encourages political violence. He vowed to hold not only the perpetrators but also supporting organizations accountable. The FBI is leading the investigation, seeking public tips and dedicating significant resources to the case.

Kirk is survived by Erika and their two young children: a three-year-old daughter and a 16-month-old son. The couple married in 2021 in Arizona and recently celebrated their fourth anniversary.
