Ed Martin, the new pardon attorney and head of the DOJ’s Weaponization Working Group, is investigating the use of the presidential autopen for issuing pardons and signing key executive orders during Biden’s final days.
Martin began the probe while still interim U.S. Attorney for D.C.
He confirmed contact with Biden family members and said a whistleblower—linked to the 2020 campaign—alleged that a few top aides profited by controlling access. Named individuals include Ron Klain, Anita Dunn, Robert Bauer, Steve Ricchetti, and First Lady Jill Biden.
Separately, Power the Future urged investigations into energy-related executive orders possibly signed by autopen without Biden’s knowledge or public comment.
