President Trump has signed a new executive order targeting transgender women’s participation in sports, particularly in the lead-up to the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles. The order, titled “Keeping Men Out of Women’s Sports,” seeks to have the International Olympic Committee (IOC) revise its standards to ensure eligibility for women’s events is based on sex, not gender identity or testosterone levels. It also pushes for enforcement of policies against schools and athletic associations allowing mixed-gender sports. Additionally, Trump aims to restrict visa applications for men attempting to enter the U.S. to compete as women. He stated that his administration would not allow men to compete in women’s sports at the 2028 Olympics. The move follows a series of other executive orders limiting transgender rights, including restrictions in the military and prisons.
