Ellen and Portia Leave Their English Farm Behind—Again
Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi have once again packed up and moved, this time leaving behind their dream of country living in England’s Cotswolds. After purchasing the 43-acre Kitesbridge Farm estate for $20 million in late 2024 and completing an extensive renovation in just five months, the couple lived there for barely a month before deciding it wasn’t the right fit.
Despite its luxurious features—a 16,600-square-foot home, guest house, barn pub, indoor pool, and more—the estate lacked enough space for Portia’s horses. The property is now back on the market for $30 million, potentially setting a local record.
While the move initially appeared to reflect a dramatic lifestyle shift away from Hollywood, critics note it aligns with the couple’s well-known pattern of flipping luxury real estate. Their brief farming experiment feels more like a high-end detour than a true rural commitment.
For Ellen and Portia, it seems, the call of the countryside couldn’t outshine their love of design, renovation—and profit.
