Mark Epstein, brother of the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, is publicly disputing the Trump administration’s conclusion that Epstein died by suicide. In an interview with NewsNation’s Chris Cuomo, Epstein criticized recent Department of Justice claims that there is no client list, no blackmail evidence, and no signs of foul play. He mocked comments from Trump ally Kash Patel, questioning Patel’s lack of forensic or medical credentials, and contrasted it with findings from pathologists who examined Epstein’s body. Dr. Michael Baden and Dr. Barbara Sampson both noted the injuries were more consistent with homicide than suicide.
The DOJ also released new surveillance footage from Epstein’s cell area, claiming it shows no one entered the hallway between 10:40 p.m. and 6:30 a.m. on the night of Epstein’s death. However, online sleuths quickly noted a missing minute in the footage, renewing skepticism. When asked about this gap, Attorney General Pam Bondi downplayed its significance, reiterating the official suicide conclusion despite growing public doubt and continuing scrutiny.
