The FBI has reportedly launched a quiet investigation into a potential decade-long “grand conspiracy” involving Democratic operatives and elements of the intelligence community. The probe, initiated under new FBI Director Kash Patel, seeks to determine if efforts such as the Russia collusion narrative and Jack Smith prosecutions were coordinated attempts to influence U.S. elections against Donald Trump. Two classified annexes—one tied to Hillary Clinton’s private email server and another dubbed “Clinton plan intelligence” from Special Counsel John Durham’s Russiagate report—are central to the case.
If declassified, they could show that federal agencies ignored damaging evidence about Democrats while pursuing dubious claims against Trump. Former CIA Director John Brennan was criticized for promoting flawed narratives. The FBI also allegedly ignored evidence in 2020 that China fabricated mail-in ballots to help Biden. To bypass expiring statutes of limitations, the FBI is framing these events as part of a continuous conspiracy, enabling broader prosecutorial power. Officials are considering convening a grand jury outside D.C., possibly in Florida, where some alleged actions took place.
