She was just 46.
Tragedy struck during what should have been the happiest time for iconic model Georgina Cooper and her husband, Nigel. Friends Jade Parfitt and Erin O’Connor confirmed Georgina’s passing on social media on Thursday, November 8. According to the Daily Mail, Cooper died from complications linked to long COVID.
Georgina was on the Greek island of Kos with her new husband when their honeymoon turned into a nightmare. She fell seriously ill and was rushed to the island’s hospital. Due to the severity of her condition, she was flown to Crete for more advanced care. Tragically, after five days in intensive care, Georgina passed away at 46.
