JUST IN: Top GOP Senators Put Jack Smith…

Republican senators have called on Attorney General Merrick Garland, FBI Director Christopher Wray, and Special Counsel Jack Smith to safeguard all records tied to investigations involving former President Donald Trump. They expressed concerns over potential political bias and mishandling of federal records.

Referencing past controversies, the senators pointed to alleged data deletions during the Mueller investigation into Russian election interference and record destruction during the FBI’s probe of Hillary Clinton’s classified emails. They also criticized former FBI official Timothy Thibault for alleged anti-Trump bias and Hatch Act violations.

The lawmakers stressed that preserving these records is essential for ensuring transparency, accountability, and fairness in politically sensitive cases.
