FBI Director Kash Patel announced the first major arrest under his leadership, with the Virginia Homeland Security Taskforce arresting 39 individuals, including MS-13 and other gang members.
The operation aimed to secure the border and enforce immigration laws.
Additionally, FBI and ICE agents arrested David Alejandro Orellana-Aleman, a high-ranking MS-13 leader, in Hyattsville, Maryland. Orellana, an illegal alien from El Salvador, was charged with various crimes, including extortion and supporting terrorism. His arrest is considered a major blow to the MS-13 organization.
Patel also proposed a partnership with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) to enhance FBI agents’ physical fitness. This initiative has garnered support among some FBI officials.
