Kash Patel, former Trump administration official and FBI director nominee, clashed with Sen. Adam Schiff (D-CA) during a tense Senate confirmation hearing on Thursday. Schiff pressed Patel about his involvement in the song “Justice for All,” featuring President Trump reciting the Pledge of Allegiance alongside the January 6 Prison Choir. Schiff tried to corner Patel, referencing his previous testimony and a podcast appearance where Patel described the song’s production. Patel stood firm, denying any personal involvement and clarifying that his mention of “we” referred to others involved in the project. The back-and-forth escalated as Schiff accused Patel of promoting the song without vetting those involved and questioned his support for individuals convicted of assaulting law enforcement. Patel rejected the claims and emphasized his lifelong support for law enforcement. Despite Schiff’s efforts, Patel remained composed.
