Minnesota Murder Suspect Had Anti-Trump Materials In Vehicle: Reports

Following the early Saturday shootings of two Minnesota Democratic lawmakers, authorities discovered “No Kings” flyers in suspect Vance Luther Boelter’s abandoned vehicle, raising concerns about links to planned anti-Trump protests. Boelter, 57, is accused of killing former Minnesota House Speaker Melissa Hortman and her husband, and shooting State Sen.

John Hoffman and his wife, who are expected to recover. After a shootout at the Hortman home, Boelter fled on foot, leaving behind a fake police SUV with emergency lights.

A manifesto found in his vehicle named several lawmakers as targets, prompting heightened security measures. Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz condemned the violence as politically motivated. The State Patrol urged the public to avoid “No Kings” protests for safety.

Boelter, CEO of Red Lion Group and director of Praetorian Guard Security Services, has a security background spanning Africa, Eastern Europe, and the Middle East. He also held appointments on Minnesota’s Workforce Development Board under Governors Mark Dayton and Tim Walz.
