On Saturday, the 7th, a tragic head-on collision occurred on the SC-390 highway in Ipira, Santa Catarina, claiming the life of a 31-year-old motorcyclist. The victim was riding a BMW S1000 RR, a high-performance motorcycle known for its speed and handling. Witnesses heard the roar of the powerful engine moments before the crash.
According to the Military Highway Police, the motorcyclist crossed into the opposite lane during a curve, colliding with a Renault Sandero driven by a 30-year-old woman. Emergency crews quickly arrived, stabilizing and transporting the rider to the hospital, but he died shortly after due to severe injuries.
The Sandero driver tested negative for alcohol but admitted that her vehicle was removed from the scene before investigators arrived. The BMW, valued between R$70,000 and R$150,000, was destroyed.
