Elon Musk Sparks MAGA Rift by Linking Steve Bannon to Epstein Scandal
Elon Musk reignited controversy this week by alleging on X that former Trump strategist Steve Bannon is named in the Jeffrey Epstein files. Musk’s claim, posted without evidence, came in response to a post by Roger Stone questioning Bannon’s meetings with Epstein in New York and Paris after Epstein’s 2008 conviction.
Reports suggest Bannon helped Epstein prepare for a 60 Minutes interview that never aired, coaching him on how to appear “sympathetic,” according to Michael Wolff’s book Too Famous. Bannon has denied media training Epstein, claiming he was working on a documentary to expose Epstein’s crimes.
Musk previously claimed Donald Trump also appeared in the Epstein files but later walked that back. Still, he criticized Trump for failing to release any related documents.
Trump and allies like Pam Bondi and Kash Patel have faced mounting pressure from MAGA figures to release Epstein-related files. Meanwhile, Bannon has slammed Musk as a CCP puppet and called for his deportation, escalating tensions between two of the right’s most polarizing figures.
