After Donald Trump’s inauguration on January 20, 2025, some have called for him to serve until 2032, arguing that it may take more than four years to restore America to “greatness.” US Representative Andy Ogles has proposed an amendment to the 22nd Amendment, which limits presidents to two terms, to allow Trump a third term. Ogles believes Trump’s leadership is crucial to reversing the damage done by the Biden administration, claiming it will take a decade to correct the country’s course. The amendment would need approval from both the House and Senate to be enacted. Trump’s early executive orders have already sparked debate about the country’s future direction under his leadership.
