Police in Los Angeles County arrested a homeless man, believed to be in his 30s, for allegedly setting a fire in Woodland Hills. The fire, now called the Kenneth fire, has spread over 1,000 acres in the West Hills area. Witnesses reported seeing the suspect using a blowtorch to start the blaze near Ybarra Road around 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Citizens restrained him for 20-30 minutes until police arrived. LAPD officers took him into custody, and the area is being treated as a crime scene with the investigation focusing on arson. While authorities suspect intentional arson, no official connection to the fire’s spread has been confirmed yet.
