Nicole Kidman, 57, revealed that filming the erotic thriller Babygirl pushed her into unfamiliar and challenging territory. The film, which stars Kidman as Romy Mathis—a powerful CEO in a loveless marriage who begins an affair with a younger intern—features many steamy scenes exploring power dynamics and sexuality.

While Kidman is no stranger to sensual roles, she admitted the intensity of this film led to moments where she felt overwhelmed. Speaking to The Sun in 2024, she shared that there were times she felt so “burned out” by the physicality of the scenes that she didn’t want to be touched anymore and had to pause filming multiple times.

Kidman also praised the presence of intimacy coordinators on set, which helped create a respectful and safe environment during these vulnerable scenes. She emphasized the importance of protecting the “bubble” actors create on set and trusted director Halina Reijnm to handle the material sensitively without exploitation.
