Rebecca Keltie narrowly defeated Democratic incumbent Stephanie Vigil in Colorado’s House District 16 after a mandatory recount.

Keltie won with 20,641 votes to Vigil’s 20,638, gaining the seat by just three votes.

The recount, required by law for results within 0.5%, initially resulted in a tie before the canvass board reversed three votes in Keltie’s favor.

Vigil acknowledged the results but is considering legal options to review the outcome further.
