Reason you should never kill a spider inside your home

Around 3-15% of Americans suffer from arachnophobia, a fear of spiders, which may cause an instinct to kill them when encountered. While this reaction might seem rational, it’s often unwarranted. Spiders are carnivores that help control household pests, such as mosquitoes, which carry diseases. Killing spiders can lead to an influx of other insects. Additionally, spiders rarely bite humans, and most are harmless, with their venom too weak to affect us. Spiders are generally afraid of humans and prefer to hide in undisturbed areas. If you need to remove a spider, consider using a glass and paper to relocate it.
